Netcall, a leading supplier of contact management solutions to the healthcare industry, scooped a 'Highly Commended' award in the Improving Productivity category at the Building Better Healthcare Awards ceremony which took place at The Brewery in East London on Wednesday the 7th November.
The judging panel lead by NHS broadcaster Roy Lilley commented on their decision to award the Appointment Management Cycle (AMC) entry a Highly Commended endorsement, "it was a simple solution, but it really makes a difference to the patient experience and the number of missed appointments, saving the health service a lot of money".
Clinic utilisation is recognised as a healthcare priority and AMC has been developed specifically to respond to this issue within the NHS. Patients not attending booked appointments can be a major drain on resources for healthcare providers, and can be a major factor in increased waiting times. Active management of patients to prevent 'Did Not Attend' (DNA) incidents can be highly effective in increasing productivity and reducing clinic waiting times.
