PMO Manager

We are looking for a PMO manager to administer and monitor projects to ensure budget, quality, elapsed time, customer satisfaction and risk are monitored and managed. 

Purpose of role:

You’ll be responsible for ensuring we administer and monitor projects such that budget, quality, elapsed time, customer satisfaction and risk are monitored and managed. You’ll achieve this by ensuring that all projects across the portfolio adhere to Netcall’s best practices and standard approaches for project management and governance reviews during each phase of project delivery’s lifecycle.

You’ll be heavily involved in working cross functionally to develop and implement best practices to enable the successful delivery of the Netcall portfolio to our customers.

You’ll also be responsible for managing risk across the portfolio and providing management reports on the portfolio.

You’ll have support from a small team, be responsible for their line management and personal development and also be heavily involved in these key areas.

Onboarding and allocation:

  • Ensuring all Sales Order for Netcall’s products and services are registered and set up correctly.
  • Reviewing contractual information regarding the projects to ensure any key activities, dates and deliverables are flagged.
  • Working cross functionally with Engagement and Training to review onboarding and communications strategies prior to commencing the delivery.
  • Responsible for project allocation to the Project Managers, included any associated and relevant materials.

Governance:

  • Responsible for Initiation and Deployment Governance reviews and compliance with the defined delivery stages
  • Ensuring compliance across project management teams in terms of process adherence/governance, to ensure accredited process is met, monitored, and evidenced, such as ISO9001, and ISO27001.
  • Ensure efficient change control methods and process are used and managed.
  • Manage our Risk Management function and log any Corrective and Preventative actions.
  • Monitor risks and issues and ensure these are accurately recorded, mitigations are available and in play and all details, actions, dependencies are documented and kept up to date.
  • Define and embed project control and governance across all portfolio deliveries.

Reporting and lessons learnt:

  • Produce a monthly Report showing delivery performance.
  • Produce and manage Risk reports and escalate as necessary
  • Report on forecast utilisation and work cross functionally to ensure the wider delivery team are properly utilised.
  • Work with Engagement team to help reduce the start time on key/strategic projects.
  • Coordinate best practice and ensure lessons learned are logged.
  • Monitor speed and progress for project delivery post allocation.
  • Review utilisation reports to track progress of projects to completion.

Management:

  • Line management of the PMO Team.
  • Provide mentoring, support and guidance for your reports based on their individual skill set.
  • Develop the PMO as process and procedure owner to satisfy the changing needs of the business.
  • Be responsible for improving Netcall’s project delivery, processes, systems and guidance.

Skills:

You’ll ideally have
  • The ability to develop and implement a strategy for the PMO and project delivery to assist in the business meeting or exceeding its delivery strategy.
  • Experience of managing a PMO office or a large projects encompassing PMO functions.
  • Good overall knowledge of Project Management and methodologies.
  • Leadership / Management experience from a senior project management role.
  • Good relationship management skills.
  • A personable, pro-active, professional approach and be able to demonstrate exceptional customer care and service.
  • Strong skills in creating and maintaining project plans, including risks, actions, issues, dependencies, preferably using Microsoft Project Server.
  • Proven and successful experience of project delivery at a senior level in software development based organisation.
  • Proven experience of successful schedule and risk management.
