Quality Assurance Team Lead

We are looking for a Quality Assurance Team Lead to create and maintain a healthy, happy and productive QA team.


The Quality Assurance Team Lead will focus on creating and maintaining a healthy, happy and productive QA team. The lead will help team members grow in their careers and create a culture and environment to help the team succeed.




Key responsibilities:


  • Provide technical leadership to the team through coaching and mentoring.
  • Maintain high standards of software quality assurance within the team by establishing and role modelling good practices and habits.
  • Identify and encourage areas for growth and improvement within the team.
  • Assess and propose opportunities for application and process improvement.
  • Research and evaluate software test tools that aid process improvement and/or productivity.
  • Develop and share knowledge of Netcall’s range of product capabilities.
  • Work with other team leads in the delivery team to define, document and distribute best practice and standards.
  • Work with the Head of Delivery to review project resource allocations, risks and dependencies.
  • Deliver on projects as a Senior QA practitioner.

Additional responsibilities and duties:


  • Quality Assure delivery team outputs to ensure functional and non-functional requirements are met.
  • Deliver high quality manual and automated testing of solutions to agreed deadlines.
  • Develop test scripts that are suitable for manual execution and automated running within Test Studio.
  • Develop regression packs in Test Studio including appropriate assertions and mock data.
  • Assist and advise the development team on unit testing best practices.
  • Test integrations with external systems that use REST or SOAP APIs.
  • Quality assure across the Netcall Liberty platform including Create, Converse, Connect and RPA.
  • Work collaboratively within project teams using agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban).
  • Participate in and support Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, sprint demos and retrospectives.
  • Create high quality functional and technical documentation to support releases.

Skills:


  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Effective at listening to and acting on the concerns of the team.
  • Ability to prioritise critical tasks and delegate to team members where required.
  • Experience with coaching and mentoring junior testers.
  • Professionally test using manual execution and Netcall Liberty Test Studio.
  • Experience with testing REST and/SOAP web services
  • Experience with relational databases including designing data models and/or entity relationship diagrams (ERDs) for business use cases.
  • Ability to understand business processes and test solution data structures and process flows.
