Double Victory: Netcall Is Partner of the Year & Newcastle Wins Transformation Award

Socitm President’s Awards 2025

17th of June 2025

Netcall has been recognised for its ongoing commitment to innovation in local government by being named Partner of the Year at the prestigious Socitm President’s Awards 2025. The recognition comes alongside an impressive win for Newcastle City Council, a valued Netcall customer, which secured the Transformation Initiative Award for their innovative digital transformation project, and specifically for their use of Netcall’s Liberty low-code and RPA.

A partnership that delivers results

The dual recognition at the Socitm President’s Awards 2025 highlights the powerful synergy between Netcall’s cutting-edge low-code platform and Newcastle City Council’s commitment to digital innovation. Netcall has a strong history in local government and was recognised last year at the Socitm President’s Conference 2024, where Netcall was awarded Partner and Customer Collaboration of the Year alongside Lancashire County Council.

Newcastle City Council’s transformation success

Newcastle’s win in the Transformation Initiative category demonstrates the tangible impact that can be achieved when local authorities embrace modern technology solutions. A standout example of this transformation is the automation of the annual housing rent verification process, which alone reduced 840 hours of manual work to just 21 hours, delivered in just 12 weeks.  The rationalisation and consolidation program has identified minimum cashable savings of £1 million in license cost savings over five years – this is before the benefits of increased productivity and enhanced citizen and colleague experience from digitisation / automation are taken into account. This showcases how Netcall’s Liberty platform can drive meaningful change in public service delivery, improving efficiency and citizen experience.

Highest accolades

Being named Partner of the Year by Socitm is one of the highest accolades in the public sector technology industry. Socitm (The Society for Innovation, Technology and Modernisation) serves as the leading professional body for digital leaders in public services, making this recognition significant for Netcall’s position in the market.

“These awards acknowledge Netcall’s commitment to supporting local authorities in their digital transformation journeys, providing the tools and expertise needed to modernise service delivery and improving outcomes for citizens. The success at the Socitm President’s Awards 2025 reinforces our position as a trusted partner for local government.”

Director of Client Solutions, Netcall

As councils continue to face pressure to deliver more efficient, citizen-centric services with constrained budgets, partnerships like the one between Netcall and Newcastle City Council demonstrate a path forward, delivering tangible results and cashable savings, and underscoring the importance of collaboration between technology providers and local government in driving meaningful digital transformation.
