Improving tenant services with housing repairs
To help improve services for their housing tenants, Adur & Worthing Councils built a housing repairs app. This app allows tenants to report items to be repaired, book appointments for operatives to fix the repair as well as scheduling field work. All while keeping everyone up to date.
Adur & Worthing Councils have been transforming their organisation with our Liberty Create low-code platform for a number of years. A group of citizen developers and traditional IT staff have come together to form a digital team. Together they are transforming services for their citizens, including a housing repairs app for their tenants.
Housing Repairs App
To help improve services for their housing tenants, they built a housing repairs app.
This app allows tenants to report issues to be repaired and book appointments for operatives to fix the repair. The council can then schedule the field work. All while keeping everyone up to date.
In the videos below, James Bovington, Senior Digital Developer, Adur & Worthing Councils takes us through the housing repairs application. He walks us through the whole process:
- The tenant raising the request
- The admin area where scheduling can be amended
- The view from the field workers carrying out the repair
- You’ll also be able to see how they manage voids and how the mapping and calendar feature work.
This is just one application Adur & Worthing Councils have built on Liberty Create. Create allows you to build any application, 3-10 times faster than traditional development. And with our AppShare you can take pre-built applications and customise them to your exact needs. Take a look at what else the council have built here.
